2 policemen among 3 killed in Farah roadside bombing

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Two policemen and a civilian have been killed and two other policemen wounded in a roadside bombing in the capital of western Farah province, an official said on Saturday.

Governor’s spokesman, Naser Mahri, told Pajhwok Afghan News that two policemen killed and two others wounded when a roadside bomb hit their tank in Soor area of Farah city on Friday afternoon.

He said that a civilian passing the incident area was also killed in the incident. The wounded have been shifted to Farah Civil Hospital and their healthinfo-icon condition is said to be stable, Mahri said.

He added that the police tank was also destroyed in the attack. No any groups yet claimed responsibility of the incident.

Soor area is located 10 kilometers with the provincial capital of Farah where militants install their own checkpoints once in a week and check vehicles moving there.
