Kunduz transport department’s revenue surges

KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): Despite security threats, the transport department of northern Kunduz province says it surpassed last year’s revenue target set by the ministry concerned.

Kunduz City, the provincial capital, fell twice to Talibaninfo-icon militants, hitting hard people’s economy.

But despite of all these problems the transport department was able to achieve the revenue target for solar yearinfo-icon 1395, said Syed Jawad Jalali, the transport department head.

He said the Ministry of Transport had set them 11 million afghanis target for last year and they were able to collect 11.8 million afs, showing the department’s improved capability.

Kunduz is located in the northern part of the country and shares border with Tajikistan which connects Afghanistaninfo-icon with Central Asia.
