KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Two Talibaninfo-icon, including the brother of Taliban’s former shadow governor for northern Kunduz province, have been arrested while fleeing from the province, the Spy-Network said on Thursday.

Karimullah, the brother of Taliban’s former governor for Kunduz Abdul Salam had been held by intelligence operatives while they tried to escape from Kunduz, said a statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDSinfo-icon).

After the killing of Abdul Salam during security forces operation, his relatives and family members lost their moral and courage to fight security forces.

The Taliban were now trying to escape from Kunduz as they had been pressed by security forces and had no ability to fight.

Taliban have not yet commented about the arrest of Salam’s brother.
